Power comes from two efficient turbocharged three-cylinder engines: a 1.2L engine making 137 horsepower with 162 pound-feet of torque (standard on LS and LT with FWD) and a more powerful 1.3L engine producing 155 horsepower and 174 pound-feet of torque (standard on ACTIV and RS, optional on others). The 1.2L engine is paired with a CVT, while the 1.3L can be paired with either a CVT or a 9-speed automatic transmission when equipped with all-wheel drive. Most trims offer both front-wheel and all-wheel drive options, allowing for customization based on driving needs.
The Trailblazer comes in four unique trim levels: LS, LT, ACTIV, and RS. The Trailblazer has an impressive standard feature list that includes an 11-inch infotainment system, 3 selectable drive modes that include Normal, Snow, and Sport, power locks and windows, 17-inch wheels, Android Auto & Apple Carplay compatibility, remote keyless entry, 2 USB ports, 4G LTE hotspot capability, steering wheel mounted controls, and a host of standard advanced safety features.
The ACTIV trimmed Trailblazers come equipped with features that make them perfect for tackling rough roads. They boast heavy-duty suspension components, a dual exhaust system, eye-catching exterior styling, and 17-inch wheels wrapped in Hankook Sport Terrain all-season tires, which have a more aggressive shoulder design compared to other tire models.
The RS trim of the Trailblazer is the sportiest option, featuring sleek black exterior accents, stylish 19-inch wheels, leatherette seats with red accents, and a flat-bottom steering wheel for that extra flair. Plus, it comes standard with a more powerful engine and offers some exciting tech upgrades.
Standard safety features include a forward collision alert, automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, intellibeam headlamps, lane keep assist with lane departure warning, rear vision camera, teen driver mode, and OnStar4. If you opt for higher trims, you will get some extra driver assistance features, such as adaptive cruise control, a rear park assist and a high-definition rear view camera.
