Mercedes-Benz GLE
The 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLE is available in multiple configurations: GLE350 (rear-wheel drive), GLE350 4MATIC, GLE450e 4MATIC plug-in hybrid, GLE450 4MATIC, GLE580 4MATIC, AMG GLE53 4MATIC+, and AMG GLE63S 4MATIC+.
The powertrain lineup begins with the GLE350's 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged engine producing 255 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque, enhanced by a mild hybrid system that adds 20 horsepower and 148 lb-ft of additional assistance. The GLE450 features a 3.0-liter 6-cylinder turbocharged engine with 375 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque, also supported by the mild hybrid system. The GLE450e plug-in hybrid combines a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbo engine with an electric motor for a combined output of 381 horsepower and enhanced efficiency. The GLE580 steps up to a 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine with 510 horsepower and 538 lb-ft of torque. The AMG GLE53 delivers 429 horsepower from its AMG-enhanced 3.0-liter inline-6 turbo engine, while the range-topping AMG GLE63S produces 603 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque from its handcrafted 4.0-liter V8. All engines are paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission.
The base GLE350 comes well-equipped with 19-inch wheels, LED headlamps, a power sunroof, and heated power front seats with memory settings. The MBUX infotainment system features a 12.3-inch touchscreen paired with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless smartphone integration, voice-activated navigation, and a fingerprint sensor for personalized settings.
Standard safety features include active brake assist, blind spot assist, a surround view camera system, and driver attention assist. The newly standardized fingerprint sensor allows for personalized vehicle settings and secure access.
The GLE450e plug-in hybrid adds electric driving capability with a 23.3 kWh battery that provides up to 48 miles of all-electric range including standard AC and DC charging capability up to 60kW.
The GLE450 maintains the features of the GLE350 while adding the more powerful 6-cylinder engine. The GLE580 enhances the package with standard 20-inch AMG wheels, AIRMATIC air suspension, ventilated front seats, and the Burmester surround sound system.
For performance enthusiasts, the AMG GLE53 offers sport-tuned AMG RIDE CONTROL+ suspension, AMG performance exhaust, AMG-specific styling elements, and performance-oriented features. The AMG GLE63S elevates performance further with a handcrafted AMG 4.0-liter V8, active ride control, and additional luxury appointments.
For 2025, the GLE continues to offer the third-row seat package, expanding passenger capacity to seven when needed. The advanced MBUX system can be enhanced with augmented video for navigation and features like the MBUX Interior Assistant that recognizes hand gestures for added convenience.
